Personal Artist Statement:

"I want to create a work that explores the different aspects that contribute to women's identity. These include but are not limited to hair, clothing, beauty enhancements/cosmetics,  body parts, reproductive system, etc. More specifically, I want to demonstrate the different aspects in a way that embody power within women.

"Throughout the course, I realized that I appreciate working with silhouettes and women figures. In addition, implementing unity among women is very personal to me. I hope through my works I’m able to bring about interconnection between women in a way that they can empathize and stand with each other. Amidst the 2024 Presidential Election, there has been a lot of controversial talk about the importance of women coming through for each other to defeat challenges that arise from man power and patriarchal ideals. I guess I just want to create something that reminds women of who they are and the power they obtain."
